Pups are out, one photo of a Snerting..

Farmer texted and said "hay is cut, kill them all"! Of course I obliged and found a shady spot. One on Friday night while they were bailing and seven today! 5 of the pups were shot at 15 yards with my 2 3/4" SP-101 in .357 Magnum with 158 grain JHP's at 1050 fps! A first for me and although they were only guinea pig sized the farmer was pleased! This one at a whopping 115 yards was "snerted" with my 11tw 5X45AI and the 39 grain Sierra BlitzKing. For you Parker...

I had a similar call. Farmer called me yesterday afternoon, said he hit one hole while he was mowing that bounced the front end of his tractor a foot in the air. He wants that 'hog GONE. I told him I would oblige as soon as he gets his bales off.

Too much rain, fields still wet and planting done, we are still waiting for the mowers to start on hay, rye and wheat. Did manage to score these guys in open fields. I whacked one with the Annie pistol, tail went up, he laid there, started to wiggle, I let him have another. Two minutes later, he gets his second wind and hauls ass across the field in to the hedge row. We anointed him the Zombie Hog.

It's going to be genocide when the mowers are done and the new growth starts. Been having good luck with the .17HMR VNTs. Shot the chickens at 200 meters, three shots with the Annie pistol off the bags. Man, I love this gun.

Went out to a farmer's just mowed and baled alfalfa field. I was set up to watch mostly the part that was 200 to 300 yards, but mom & her pups kept coming out at just under 100 yards. Jeez, those 105 AMax hBN coated bullets sure do a lot of damage under 100 yards.
