This just may be the definition of a snerting. 263 yards. 105 AMax with a muzzle velocity of 3100 fps. I couldn't weigh him as there were no teeth to place on the scale hook, but I think he weighed between 10 and 11 pounds.

Thanks, Parker. I'm nor sure where the bullet entered. He was facing away, somewhat bent over and I was aiming between the shoulder blades. The shot may have gone a tad high.

He was 1 of 7 today. Way too much walking to take photos of all of them.

Roger that, and the eagles and the hawks. I was set up on one last week, a little guy, and before I could get a shot, a hawk swooped down, snagged it and took off.
It's a jungle out there.

My hunting buddy went out earlier and whacked five. I got a couple hours in late and killed two. Longest was this one at 104 yards. He had a couple misses and I had one. Saw another dozen or so but they didn't let any grass grow under their feet and skidaddled as soon as they saw the truck. Hay was still on the fields along with a few chopped up rabbits being cleaned up by two bald eagles. Seems to be more and more of them every year in our area. We're blaming the misses on the wind.

Man, look at all this fun. You guys have been doing very well. Really loving these stories and pics.

I finally got out with my pops @ARW and man did we have a field day. With my 6ppc shooting 55 gr nosler ballistic tips, on the first hole we laid on I took 5 within the same amount of minutes then pops joined in and with his 6 rem. Between the two of us we took nine from that hole cluster and we are thinking all eight little ones were from the same mom because no other big ones came from the hole.

Today we had a record for us of 13 hogs between the two of us and that was just I'm the am, it was an amazing time and I was grateful for spending it with pops

That truelly looks like a war zone. Nice rifles and quality time spent with your pops. Doesn't get any better than that.

I was in north central Pa. earlier this week visiting. Looks like people were just starting to cut hay, seen a lot of hogs from the road, and wishing no I had brought a rifle w me. Damn, does the sun ever shine up there??....
