pulled bullet questions?????

ok i loaded a bunch of bullets to do a ladder test for a gun that i just finished breaking in and going to my car i dropped the bullets and they sacttered :'( anyway i obviously have to start over so i pulled the bullets and began from scratch. i had to use a 6mm sinclair puller the plier type and they were 6.5mm bullets but it seemed to work. as i re seated the bullets i noticed my seating dei was scaring the edges of most of these previously pulled bullets but not new ones. so it seams the pulling or clamping of the bullet took them out of round slightly and i confirmed this with a mic.
anyway a few questions
1) can you normally use pulled bullets or reuse them as the case may be?
2) i assume if you can use them as spoilers or break in rounds as they are not lilkely to be as concentric as others?
3) should i toss them all together or anyother thoguth you may have???
thanks

Inspect them to see if the bullets have been crushed when pulled, if not they should be ok. ---- use for practice!

I have shot many pulled bullets with good results.

djtjr: I've had the same experiences when using a collet type bullet puller, and used those b ullets for basic sight-in, first round foulers and close range only. For that reason switched to the hammer/impact type bullet puller, and never have any bullet damage. Put a wad of paper, tightly packed, in the nose of the hammer and even soft points are damage free. I realize others use the collet type pullers with great success: just did not work for me. Just something you might want to consider for future use. Nowadays the cost of quality bullets is just too high to damage them.

3) another thought;

Buy a fine tip sharpie pen and mark each case with the charge or number 1-2-3,,,

otherwise I'm with JERRYHM, if they look good use'm,,if they have a mark use'm for foulers.

Got both styles; the collet marks the bullet and the hammer causes the bullet to strike the case and put a dink in the mouth edge..... Both work..
I dont shoot pulled bullets when shooting serious. Just a confidence thing more than any reason..

After pulling bullets and before again seating them, I always lightly champfer in and out. You do not want even tiny nicks on the case mouth. ANY slight damage to a bullet base can cause it to go astray.

The pliers type of bullet puller is the WORST type you can use (especially when you use the wrong size). I highly recommend the Hornady collet puller with the correct size collet. It won't damage the bullet a bit. Anyone who says they are damaging bullets with a collet type bullet is either using the wrong size collet, or just plain doing it wrong!
