"Pull Marks" on pulled bullets, do they matter?

OK, on the bottom flat part of the bullet? Just wondering how this affects the Nosler Partition or A-frame as it has a lead bottom and typical to lead it doesn't look like its perfectly smooth plus there's a little lip of copper?

It has been a long time since I read a report on this but I seem to remember that the bullets tested for base defects had a file cut across the edge of the base. I think this may have been in an NRA report.
