PTG unithroaters? Is PTG trustworthy to order from?

Heh, that's what I'm afraid of. Is there a way to tell if something is in stock?

I didn't think they made a Uni-throater. If so, that's good to know.

No problem but you had my hopes up. Those uni-throaters are handy, especially one dedicated for yourself to set freebore with. More than one way to do it but the unithroater is the easiest I know of.

Unless you need them every day, you can rent the tools from 4D Reamer Rentals.

I would not buy anything from PTG. My personal experience from many past purchases with them is not good. This is before all these shortages across the country took place.
If it's in stock, according to the website, it could take 6 to 8 weeks to get it. Even though the tell you it will be shipped right away. When I questioned them that it was in stock, I was told that the website was not up to date. If you order by phone, do not expect them to be able to answer any technical questions.
If you order something that is not in stock, you may be told it will take 8 to 10 weeks before it ships out. Twice, I order a bolt and 6 to 6 1/2 months later I received it. They wait until multiple orders are accepted before they start a run on that item.
I got tired of waiting on one item and many months later I cancelled the order. They had the nerve to try and charge me a restocking charge even though they didn't have the product in stock nor had they even started the manufacturing process.
For me they are close to be scammers.

What reamer stop is that?Why spend the $$ on the Uni-throater?
You have the micrometer reamer stop collar.
Get an adapter, run the throater same as you do the reamer with it.
