Probably dumb ring question...apologies

I am very new to the bench rest world...just purchased a nice, used 6mm PPC and the rings are marked 9 and 10. I have yet to mount my glass in the rings as it is still on its way to me.

What do the numbers mean?

The rings are on a Stolle Panda action.

The rings are made from a long rectangular bar of aluminum. They are bored, shaped, etc. all as one unit. They are then sliced into individual rings. They are sold in adjacent pairs. Supposedly makes for straighter, better aligned, rings.

Of course, that doesn't speak to the base mounting holes, the bases or, even the scope itself.

Your Panda has the rail machined into the action, so you get a pass on the first two.
