Welcome to Southern AridZona in the Summer…!Ya 91 at 4:30 this morning when I went to the desert. Thought I would get there before it got hot! LOL
I was in Phoenix in the late '60's - I remember that.when a local TV station would mark the first day they could cook an egg on the sidewalk at noon, usually in early June.
Prime rib burgers are great been getting them from the store man they is good...have a great day hope you get the issue fixed, jam as tight as you can it might work out.. keeping fingers crossedWell one plus is the burgers only take 5 minutes to cook on my preheated to 450 degrees grill>LOL Saves gas.
Those look like primers that were coming out of my Savage 11, 223. CCI400.
Yes CCI magThose look like primers that were coming out of my Savage 11, 223. CCI400.
Sounds good. Thank you. Now I need to find someone who can anneal them for me.That right there is a headspace problem. Id the casehead is tight againsr the bolt face, primer cant back out. Another of your posts said those cases were jammed .005" when shot in another kbarrel. There's your answer.. Short brass and light load. You don't need to be shooting a lighter load to "break in" a barrel. In fact you don't need to break the barrel in. If it were me, I'd probably anneal the cases, then shoot them full power with bullets jammed.
Just go with the universal load of 30gr of Varget, CCI 450’s and a 103-108gr bullet at just touch or even 5-7 thousand jam and let those cases get properly fire formed.Sounds good. Thank you. Now I need to find someone who can anneal them for me.
