Primers???

Is anyone else finding shortages on primers? My local academy and cabelas have not been getting them in for a month now...Especially small rifle and small pistol... Nobody seems to have any answers when I ask... Now I've noticed some online places are sold out also.. I used to be able to get S@B primers at cabelas for a year, now for the last month or so none are on the shelves or cci either...

Lol I live outside Austin tx in a very small town and drive an hour to cabelas. The academy was just built here and is not a good one.. Speaking of that let me tell you how far academy has gone.. We all know now they hide the scary black rifles behind locked doors out of sight..
Today I was told that they wanted triger locks put on all the black rifles while they were stored in boxes locked in a safe.. I guess so they couldn't crawl out and hurt anyone..lol.. Just fyi they don't open the boxes on the rest of the rifles that are stored in their locked room and put trigger locks on them only the scary ones...WOW...

I am with Kid. The only ones that i can't find are Federal Match. Try using ammo seek if you don't mind ordering online.

Great, I was hoping people were not making a run on them again.. I sure have enjoyed being able to buy reloading supplies and factory ammo again..

I am just worried that in a few months that won't be the case.. I figure it won't be long till the panic buying starts.. I sure hope not...

Same in Mid South. Can find everything except Federal Large Rifle Match. I wonder what is up with those? They are not bulk 22 ammo. Why would the masses hoard them? Why does Federal not make more? Are they simply the cream off of the regular primer barrel and available in limited production? I read a post from a large gun store owner. He said that the industry is prepping for another run if Hillary wins. If we catch a break and she looses, there will be an oversupply of guns and ammo out there.

Federal makes their money supplying ammo for our military and other NATO members. Producing primers for the general public is peanuts to them.

This happens every 4 years. The closer we get to the election, the harder it will get to find components. If Hillary is elected, expect the shortage to last for years.

Powder Valley....

Powder Valley is out of every Federal primer with the exception of shotshell and large pistol. You had me excited that I was going to get 210M's.

I did score 3lbs of H4350 at Bass Pro today. Was getting nervous that h4350 was not returning to the shelves any time soon. All the online folks are out of it. I have literally not seen 210m's on retail shelves in 2 years. Have been using CCI BR2 instead. They have been fairly plentiful.
