Primers and Varget available

I guess that those who don't plan ahead don't have many options and believe me, Bruno's takes advantage of that.

Bingo. If you HAVE to have it, then you will pay. If you do not really need it, you leave it for others.

Ben, I hear what you are saying, but you are talking about a way of life , and I'm talking about sporadic emergency events.

Moral of the story: plan ahead or pay through the nose. Or do without.

I was at a local Yard Sale yesterday that had "Hunting & reloading" listed in the ad, a worker from a local shop.

8 lb jugs of Varget were marked $480.00, 5 lb. jugs of R-15 $300.00 1,000 Fed. 205's and 215's were marked $150.00.

He had 1,000's of bullets, .224. 6mm and 30 caliber all 3 times more than what they should be.

.223 white box Federal 55gr., $45/20.

I knew there was a reason I didn't support the shop he works for!

especially when I know greed and hoarding by my fellow shooters has caused most of the shortages..

I couldn't agree more with this statement. Last weekend I bought 1000 Rem 9 1/2 primers. I bought the last box of them that was on the shelf. There was a great supply of other primers there. Several of us were shopping for primers, and one fellow hovering around there asked if I wanted some more 9 1/2's and that he had 30,000 of them and 50,000 plus CCI's and some others "stashed" away. He was not very popular after making this statement. WD

Poor soul! He must have been a member of the Boy Scouts!!

I'm done buying anything from Bruno's, sad that they are doing what there doing. Digging there own hole though. Thankful for the places that arent taking advantage of this time of shortage.

I'm darn glad Bruno doesn't make the OO's any more.

I will have to buy my bullets somewhere different now.

>:(

You guys think you have it bad? We are paying over $300AU for 4kg of varget here in Australia AND WE MAKE THE STUFF! Get used to it, we pay highly inflated prices for all the US projectiles, cases and primers we use. And we are about to bend over and cop it further. 180gr berger hybrids are going to be close to $70 a box for us soon!

I will never purchase anything from Brunos, since there are other retailers providing the same at a reasonable price, But, I find it ironic that on their page they are requiring a minimum purchase amount of primers and powder if shipped due to their"looking out for you" due the EXCESSIVE cost of shipping and Hazmat. They say nothing of the Excessive price of their product. How would it be if McDonalds required you to purchase Three (3) Big Macs, at twice the normal price if you only wanted One(1) Big Mac. Bad enuff that the pricing is what it is, but requiring you to purchase a minimum of three(3) at those prices is
incredulous. Most retailers have a Maximum amount you may purchase, Brunos has a Minimum....I would really like to hear a rational explanation for their policy, if nothing more than... If we are going to gouge you we are really going to gouge you...Altho in their defense, no one is putting a gun to anyones head to buy from them, it is all a matter of choice, and thank goodness most of us have a choice. Eventually the Hoarders will run out of money and things should return to a "new" normal, starting to see the light, but far from what it was. We should remember who was there when we needed them and at what price those retailers provided our needs.

I'm done with Bruno's. It's their prerogative to charge what ever they want, I am a big believer in the free market, and I hope they enjoy the short term windfall, but they will never see another 10¢ from me.

I agree completely. I know there a sponsor of the site, but those prices are ridculous.

Don't buy from Bruno's they are ripping people off. If people would not buy from them they would learn a lesson and suffer like they are doing everbody else.

I had stuff on backorder from last year at Bruno's. I was stupid and thought the pricing was for the 3,000 min primer order and whatever their powder order was.

Well they never filled their backorders and that's good. Recently noted how stupid I was when I noted their pricing was for ONE and not the ""they speak of in a minimum order.

It's a bit confusing but if I am correct, they raised their prices abut 3X higher than normal, added the minimum disclaimer and make a scam look normal.

Yep. You are correct. We can sit here and beat this to death all day long. Site sponsor and supposedly a company dedicated to helping shooters......... Hard to believe. And their prices are not due to increase on the manufacturers side, this is Brunos jacking up the prices so bad it is laughable

Anyone who buys from them must not value $$ or just has enough they don't even have to think about what they are spending or buying

If people would stop buying anything from them, they would realize and maybe the prices would drop to closer to normal.

I agree totally! And when stuff does come around I won't be buying anything from them, I don't care if they are half price.

And those who pockets are deep enough to buy from Bruno's are also hurting the rest of the shooting community as well. As long as Lester, Amy and the rest of the bunch see sells coming in they will continue to keep there prices jacked up as they are.
If companies like this gouges its customers in the open what do you think they are doing we don't know about and see? It sure makes one wonder huh?

I for one am VERY glad to see most everyone having the desire to "vote with their pocketbook" against those "less than ethically stellar" vendors, to let them know WE WILL REMEMBER what they are doing! We will also REMEMBER those who did NOT take advantage and give them our buying support! Thanks Guys!!

There is at least one other vender, while not having 3X prices, does limit orders to 10#, They claim low shipping fees BUT one is still stuck with the $ 27.50 HasMat. per order

If it's the same vendor, I think they limit purchases to 10# of a single item - you could still buy some other powders.

John

Third gen. limits purchase to a particular item, (individual powder variety), not two or more different varieties, or that is how I understand it. i.e 8 ilbs varget, 8 lb H414, 5 lb RL15 as an example. I totally understand the maximum purchase, fair to all, get what you need now and then more later, slows down the "HOGS". But a minimum at hyperinflated prices, BS, give me a break, we know exactly what they are doing. All this from a member of the shooting sports, Ofcourse if youi can not s....w your friends, who can you scr.w.
