Primer prices

Why do some still belly ache about prices of primers when for some people it costs more to fill up their tank on their everyday vehicle. Just think what you pay in gasoline every month. Back in June I put 400 gallons of #2 Home heating oil at my house in Maine to the tune of $2160.00. I'll pay 200 bucks a brick for primers any day of the week than buy HHO at 539.9 a gallon. I mean I'd have to do a lot of shooting to equal what I spent for HHO. It was either freeze or pay whatever for the oil. So it's either pay whatever for the primers or don't shoot, take your choice. Does anybody go on the internet and whine about the gas prices all the time? I feel sorry for the poor bastards in Cali who pay those ridiculous prices for gasoline out there but that's what happens when u want to live out there in the land of the fruit and nuts.

Primers have more than tripled price in the last couple of years, powder hasn't tripled in price. It has gone up but not even doubled in price.
I used to buy Lil Gun for 18 bucks now I see it’s $35… Look at the pricing on Hodgdons website, it might not be double but damn near

Then put a wood stove in, just little sweat and time then you can afford more of them 200.00 primers
I have a wood stove. I am not wasting time anymore bustin my ass cutting tree's to get firewood. Done that for many years. Unlike some people I could live until I'm 125 years old and still not need primers, powder, brass, bullets or barrels. It's called planning ahead. Last time I spent 200 bucks on primers was 2018 and that 200 got me 2 cases of 205's from P&H in TN, not bricks cases. 10K primers for 200 bucks but I bought way more than 2 cases.

As long as there's a NATO arms length conflict popping off, primer prices will follow the market for supply and demand. The last 20 years in the mid east I'm going to guess are not congruent to the volume of components being burned at present in Ukr.

Anticipated new production is likely planned to meet anticipated 'woldwide' demand, not cut prices for a couple/ 20,000 recreational reloaders.

After the '08 panic ended, Wideners was selling Russian primers for $13/k. Still have a decent supply but wish I'd doubled it now.

Just out of curiosity how long does that 400 gallons last you?
