Probably the latter.Just throwing this out there, but is it possible that "SOME " clubs are trying too cater to any specific income groups? I say this because if dues are increased say from $100 to $200 they will lose a percentage of people but make up for that loss with the in increased dues paid. Or is it the Increased costs of insurance and operations?
Have seen a lot of ranges close. Insurance costs, rising taxes, and legal fees can render them non-viable. Political pressures can become formidable, as the encroachment of development tightens the noose. If on leased property, the owner may be motivated to sell , given these factors. I hope you can get some straight answers .Good question. I'll be asking the owners.
I believe being a member since it opened we (I) deserve that much simply because I have been a good member in all ways, from paying my annual dues before it's time to all aspects of maintenance, asking for nothing in return.
