Has anyone bought a used Magnetospeed version 2 recently? One of the forum guys "gave" his to me with the words, "just find out how much a used one is going for and send me a check". I want to be fair to him. And I LOVE this thing!

You can check various commercial outlets (Brownells, MidwayUSA, etc) and I suspect you'll find that it sells new for about $350. IMO, a used one that has all the pieces, doesn't show a lot of wear and is in good working order should be worth about $250.

I have a V2 model and love it but you can buy a NIB "Sporter" model for $189 and a new v3 for $399 so given that and the fact that it is used I would not go over $200 tops and think that would be quite fair.

Would I sell mine for $200? Maybe. If I was looking to upgrade to LabRadar IF it ever emerges from vaporware and gets good reviews and IF they have any sort of reasonable and ironclad customer service--big ifs.

I got a heck of a deal on here from a forum member on a V2 Magnetospeed, $175.00 shipped, it had been used very,very little. I would have expected to pay more somewhere in the neighborhood of $200.00-$250.00 for one in this shape, it had been used once.
