Prefit barrels

McGowen does...atleast for "remage" barrels. I only know because I was looking at my options for outside deer season. Have one of their remage barrels in 450 Bushmaster. Thought it might be nice to have a 22cal or something for the off season.

Only problem with getting "off the shelf pre fit" barrels is their specs may not be exactly what YOU want.
Not too many chamber with ZERO free bore. Long throat has you using heavier bullets to get close to the lands. ZERO free bore lets you use the lightest bullets you can get your hands on so you can load to a jam or real close.
Long (ANY) throat will wear faster than you think and that "special load" that was close to a jam will be a thing of the past. :(
Picked up an "off the shelf" 6BR barrel years back with a long throat. Think I was using something like 80s or 90s to get close to the lands. Sold it to someone that was happy shooting heavier bullets. Got myself a zero free bore chambered barrel. 45 and 50 grain bullets do bug holes with a jam. May be up to 60s now?

Just curious, what will a 22BR do that a 223 or 6BR won't? I'm not questioning your choice, just curious about its abilities.
I really don't know to tell you the truth. I also have a 22-250 in the safe and my thinking is if I build the 22br it would be a happy medium between the 22_250 and the 223. The best of both worlds with only loading for one (22br). I haven't decided yet so any input is welcome!!
Thanks Bill
