Lapua Long Range shoots nicely in several of my rifles. I've had three different lots to date and all performed well.

Lapua Midas+, Center-x and long range. Typically use the Midas+ for our weekly 100yd with center-x and long range for practice / warm up. Good lots of each all perform about the same but Midas+ has been most consistent in my Turbo’s..

One thing I know about you....if Mike scuba would have told you he was shooting over flags with favorable wind conditions in nice temperatures, you would have told him Eley ammo is no good you have to shoot Lapua.

I have had good luck with certain lots of SK Standard and Norma Match in a Kimber 82g. High x cleans on the 100 yard smallbore target.

The best ammo for 100yds. well it's the one that shoots good in your rifle. not trying to be wise-A but you won't know which is best until you try it.
Here is an example 50 shots 100yds. Lapua CX first time shot in this rifle at 100yds.
Also a mini Palma I shot for the Sniper's Hide online matches.

Are you group shooting at 100 yards or doing something else? I have had decent luck shooting silhouettes out to 200 yards with Eley Semi Auto Benchrest precision ammo with a 1710 Anschutz. Easy to keep them all on the rams (from the bench) if you mind the wind a little bit.

A couple of examples.

Match ammo is necessary for best results. Any brand name or variety (e.g. Midas + or Center X or Super Long Range) can give very good results -- but it will depend on the lot.

Three different lots of Midas in three different rifles. The fourth, bottom right, is CX.





The trouble is that at 100 yards the ammo doesn't give these kinds of results consistently. Whatever the rifle and lot, it can be challenging to shoot many consecutive sub-1" ten shot groups at 100 yards.
