Precision case trimmer

50 or 5000, best is what results in the most perfect consistent case time and time again. I've had several, not all, but most.

But I will not be trying another, the Wilson with Sinclair upgrades will be the only one I use. It does exactly what I want, perfectly square mouth, cut to absolute length.

To the people that have abandoned Giraud, what is the reason? Noise? Expense of cartridge conversions?

Does the Henderson pilots leave etches or markings on the inside of the case necks? I remembered that the RCBS pilots do. Just curious before buy anything.

If you choose the Wilson/Sinclair you may find ( as I did ), that the case holders are tapered and sized to hold the brass. There is no distinct stop for the brass and if you put it in there nice and tight, you may find you have to tap the brass on the newly trimmed case mouth to remove it. I had the Sinclair unit and it came with a Delrin disk to knock the brass out of the holder. Not the best system IMHO.....I gave it away and went with PMA products for that job......I AM a low-volume operation.

Yes uneven chamfers due to the collet design and marred necks due to the pilot. I had a giraud and decided to try a Henderson . I couldn’t sell the Henderson fast enough. If you want the best motorized trimmer your only option is the Giraud.

Yup. I put mine in hard as I trim mainly Lapua which is tough. The trick is to whack the case out by hitting the neck square onto the block. I use a hard plastic disk that looks like a hockey puck. Even with thin wall necks like 223 I rarely deform any and if so they get finished off with a mandel anyhow. The Wilson is the only one I have found that makes perfectly square pretty cuts. What PMA tool trims necks? I haven't seen one

It’s just a Rythm deal on the Wilson. You learn just to put a light tap on the case when putting it in the holder.

I use these two.....I don't see the top tool offered anymore on the PMA site. And the drive motor was considerably less money when I bought it some years ago. But this system is a pleasure to use.

I use these two.....I don't see the top tool offered anymore on the PMA site. And the drive motor was considerably less money when I bought it some years ago. But this system is a pleasure to use.

I have several Wilson’s and probably will never stray from them but everything I have ever bought from Pat has been top notch I expect his trimmer is no different

I use a small rubber mallet to knock the case from the case holder on my Wilson trimmer. Weighs about a pound and works well without damaging the case.
