There are quite a few people making custom benchrest bullets. What you have may not be available anymore. Can you ask the guy who gave you some what they are?

Wasn't it Don Lahr that made/makes Precision Ballistics Bullets? Might that be what you're referring to by "Precision Benchrest Bullets"? Not sure if he's still making them.

Don hasn't marketed any of his bullets for quite some time. That's correct his bullets were under the "Precision Ballistics" line. He marked his bullets with the ogive so if you can find that information try to buy any of the precision brands available in the same weight and ogive.

The only precision bullets I have ever shot were Hottenstein Bullets. They shot well in my 6mm Norma BR; however, they did not shoot well enough to justify the price over the Sierra and Berger bullets I currently use. If I were shooting competition and traveling the Country, I might be able to justify it, but not for the shooting I do. I'm not sure if they are the same bullets you tried, but they may be worth a look. Just my 2 cents.

Can you provide a pic of a bullet? With what you’re asking and the info. you supplied your just going to get guesses which isn’t going to be any help..

Thanks this is why I'm needing them the gun loves them I've got 300 left that's at 100 yds
Would have been a world record in almost every category. Shame it wasn’t shot in a registered BR match. Although, it might not be quite as small as I think because the paper folded back on the first shot. Great either way.

For sure it is a very nice group.

Not uncommon at many SRBR matches though. That's a real slack grabber in competition.....

I for one think that @RRoe knows what a good group looks like and what any single group represents. I believe he is a BR competitor as well as a match director in NC, where there are several other very good shooters, too. It does mean more when a single example is posted by a proven good shooter vs a random guy and random small group....but that's JMHO.

It looks like a single bullet hole to me- with the paper winged out from being thin. That’s super uncommon. Maybe it’s just my eyes.

Then you likely won't believe that these are both 5 shot groups either.
I can't speak to your level of experience but I will say that there is absolutely a level of accuracy that many have never seen and may or may not, ever understand or achieve. They may not have a need nor desire for it but that certainly doesn't mean it can't be real. Granted, I'd love to have these during a match but they do happen and they teach us a lot about what a real tune can look like and when a tune is not quite up to par.

What are you talking about Mike? When or where did I ever see I didn’t believe it?

I said it’s a shame that it wasn’t shot in registered competition because it would have been a world record in almost every category.

What’s the problem?
