Pre Thread Barrel for Howa Action

Got a guy wanting to swap out a .243 to a 6.5 crd on a Weatherby Vanguard rifle. I am looking to find a pre thread barrel as I am not interested in cutting a metric thread on my lathe. I contacted two makers and was told just “NO we don’t offer it for a Vanguard”, even though other pre thread options were offered by them, including the Mark V. Surely their equipment is more advanced than mine and shouldn’t be a big issue I wouldn’t think. Any ideas or contacts appreciated. Thanks in advance. dae

Douglas can provide a deep chambered barrel with the Howa metric thread. A little lathe work on your end and you are done.

Yep, pac nor will take care of you. Nice to feel with too, and their barrels shoot great! Did the same for a howa mini Mauser in Grendel. Worked perfectly
