I have Savage mdl 16 in a 260 remington that I can't make shoot cold. It'll shoot 1/2" to 3/4" when the barrel warms up but cold the groups are 2-2 1/2". The rifle is in a Boyds stock with the action devcon bedded. This is a hunting rifle so it needs to shoot where it's looking when cold.
I'm tired of messing with it, instead of selling it I think rebarreling is the best option. Since I have a ton of 260 brass I don't want to change caliber just barrels.
Who makes a good accurate sporter weight barrel?
Thanks, Justin
