It boils down to priorities. Stability vs pivoting is a tradeoff. Just a fact. Portability can be a major factor as well. And of course price figures into the equation. If a person has the skillset to design and build something that minimizes the compromises, that’s super but now figure your time into the considerations.

It’ll all subjective, really. In a perfect world all the options would be available for test drives in the field.

This forum is a nice change of pace, place to learn. Good shooters with practical advice about things.

As an Iowa guy trying to learn about P Dogging and what kind of bench to build. I just want to say thanks to the guys with good advice and explanations about why and how.
