Powders .224 53g Vmax in 1/9 twist bolt?

If I could only have three powders for 53 grain and a 9 twist .223, they would be Accurate LT-32, Reloader 7 and IMR8208XBR. I swear, these newer powders, on average, provide far better accuracy and performance than the old "go to" powders. These are the three I always start with now. Use your BR4's over the 450's, though Remington 7 1/2's also work really well in an A/R. I understand the Reloader 7 has the anti-coppering agent in it, an added plus. The LT-32 is the most forgiving powder ever so far as the types of bullets it will shoot. The Reloader 7 is a bit temp sensitive in my experience - so be sure to run your load 1 full grain below what you found as 'max safe' if load developed in cold weather.

8208xbr , alliant power pro varmint , h335 are the 3 I've tried . The h335 really works great in my AR 1/7" and the alliant power pro varmint works great in my 1/9" Howa 223. All 3 will get my 20" barrel Howa to 3300fps easily.

Benchmark and 8208XBR are really close to each other in that scenario.

Don't forget about N133, it can deliver outstanding accuracy and great speed 50g-55g.
AA2200 has outstanding speed. Seems to have a non-peaky pressure curve.

There are a bunch of powders that work well. Try what you have first.

I have had excellent results with Winchester 748.....26.0 grains with a 52-55 grain bullet works fantastic. The 55 grain tipped "Varmageddon" bullet is a most excellent choice. It is cost effective and very accurate. One other to try is N140, 25.0 grains with a 64 grain Berger Varmint bullet.

I've been using the .223 AI for over 20 years and have several and have shot out several barrels. I've used H-335, W 748 and several other powders. My favorite now is the 53 Gr V-Max and either Benchmark or
IMR 8208 XBR. I like H-335 but it is very sensitive to Temperature changes. 748 does well but it is also sensitive to temp. changes but not as much as H-335. Benchmark is a stable powder and I have settled
on that for the last several years. Hard to beat that combination.

I think in both the 223 and 223 AI with 53gr Vmax you'll find H322 will suit you well.

Powders that give me super results with the 53vm, 10x, w748, blc2, X-terminator, h335, cfe, BenchM, pro varmint.
