IMO shooting a factory rifle, a FX scale would be an absolute waste of money. There are lots of things that you can work on to make your groups more consistent that have nothing to do with the load.

I tend to agree, to the extent that the factory rifle has the factory barrel. I shoot factory rifles, but . . . I've replaced the factory barrels with the likes of Krieger barrels (as well as better triggers) and the my FX scale does make a difference now, even at short range. I guess you can't really call my guns "factory rifles" any longer, huh?

Last I heard fx120 was an entry level milligram scale and not to be confused with an Analytical balance.
Is this still the case ?

Looking at most cartridges in the 6.5 CM and 308 the effect of 0.1gr of powder is ~6 fps. 223 its about 12 fps. Unless you are shooting over 600yds its not material. Other reloading variables are going to overshadow the powder effect as will environmental. At 1000yds in 308 with a 175 Berger Match it's +/- ~2.1" elevation and +/-.2" windage in a 10 MPH crosswind.
