I bought mine from Precision Weighing Balances (balances.balances.com), about a little under $1100 shipped. I think I got it in under 6 days or so. I have a granite table with antivibration feet that was made to set it on. It settles quickly and is very reproducible and responds to every kernel reliably. There are cheaper and adequate balance available but I worked with precision balances for many years in a former life and I guess once you have tasted the forbidden fruit you just can't settle for less
