powder funnel?

I have been using a Fritz powder funnel for years. I dropped it, it has developed a crack and it is about to go the next drop. I bought a RCBS funnel, powder spills. What is a good funnel? Please help.

I've tried a few and prefer the Satern aluminum funnels. They work well and I have never had power stick in any humidity.

I switched over to the Satern aluminum, caliber specific powder funnels several years ago. Got fed up with the static electricity problems of the plastic. Always wiped down the plastic funnels with a "no static" spray, and it did not prevent the problem. Maybe lessened it a little only.

Never regreted changing to the Saterns.

I use the Saterns too. I did find you cannot be sloppy about removing them from the case necks or they will stick and pick up the case. Works great as long as you lift them straight up though.

I've been using the same aluminum funnel for the last fifty years. If I had to replace it, I'd look for an aluminum funnel that was funnel shaped on both ends so that it covered all calibers. Problem with the caliber specific funnels is that the charged case wants to stay with the funnel when you lift it up. Many times that results in spilled powder along with maybe a little cussing and swearing!

I must be doing something right: have never had the Satern funnels lift the case, when removing the funnel. Have also never had a single powder kernal remain in the funnel.

Same here, regarding Satern funnels. I own them in 22, 30, 45, and 50 as I recall. Mainly used the 22 so far, for 223. Never had one try to stick on a case. Makes me wonder if Michael above might have one that is slightly tight mouthed or something. Using my charge master, it's a quick one hand affair dropping powder, switching funnel to next case, putting pan back on scale.

WOW, I'm definitely in the wrong business - $53 for a funnel!

Heading out to the shop..........

Yet another Saturn user. There is a banner Ad for aluminum funnels on this forum but I could not find it when I looked. Saturns are great, although expensive. Funny how the good stuff is always expensive.

Correction, the banner ad appears on the Daily Bulletin.

Purchase the 6 or 10 inch 21st Century Funnel and you'll be way ahead of the crowd: http://www.21stcenturyshooting.com/Powder_Funnel.php Pour the powder slowly [for a better fill] especially if you need max loads. :)

+1 on 21st Century !! Caliber specific...no worries about sticking cases and spilled powder. Caliber adaptors are a couple bucs extra if needed. I use the 6" also.

I see you guys found those 6" and 10" drop tub funnels from 21st Century also, will work great for my new project! ::)

The 21st Century Funnel didn't have any sticking from static, and my basement has Humidity of 40 right now. and they have caliber related changeable black caps. Just tell the what Caliber you need.
