Possibly the best value in optics

For years now my brother has been talking about scope lenses made with "Schott Glass" and how superior they are, only used in the very upper end of scope manufactures.
Tract Optics is a manufacturer that sells directly to the consumer, cutting out the middleman.
There Binoculars and most all the scopes feature Hjgh Transmission Schott Glass, out of curiosity I ended buying a pair of there Binoculars 10x42 in December that where on sale for 600.,
The quality and clarity is simply amazing, every bite and clear as the Steiner at 1800., if there scopes are anything like there Binoculars there worth talking a good look at.
Best bang for the buck

I have two of their ELR scopes and their spotter, all of them made with Schott Glass and manufactured by LOW, the best high end scope factory in Japan. Love the products and superb service from the owners, Jon and Jon (yes, no kidding!). Great glass, excellent quality and function. They are indeed fantastic values.

I have heard good tp great things about Tract optics, I wanted to get that out first before the next statement.

Schott like many/most companies supplying materials to manufactures have differing grades of glass they sell. I bring this up so you don't get caught up assuming if it is said to have Schott glass you assume it will be great. You need eyes on the optics used as you are going to use it to verify if it is good enough for your needs.

Just my two cents.

My neighbor bought a Tract Toric 3-15x50 a little over a year ago and had me mount and bore site it for him.
I have mostly Vortex and Leupold and prefer Leupold due to quality and where they are made. We decided it would be fun to have a contest, off my benchrest at approx. 350 yds, to visually compare the Tract, Leupold and Vortex mounted scopes. We live in the country, and this would be looking across a valley into the woods. The contest would be for each of us to look thru the three mounted scopes, not say the pick until both of us had completed looking and made our pick. Before the contest started, I really had my faith resting on my Leupold. I won't say the model of the Leupold and Vortex scopes, that is not important to me. What is important is all three scopes were of very similar price points.
Unscientific Verdict: (no bashing please)
We both (with my tail between my legs) picked the same scope as the clear winner. It was hands down the Tract Toric.
I now have 3 Tract scopes.

Tract can't be beat for the price and quality. I sold my Swaro EL's and all of my bino's are now Tract. Rifle scopes are just as good. Would like to see a few more reticle options in the bigger scopes (less busy). They can not be beat for the money, period. True, there are different levels of Schott glass, but Schottt's lower level is world class. That is why some of the worlds best use Schott. Unless things have changed, S&B and Swaro used the glass in their products, the coatings were proprietary of coarse.

The guys that run Tract have lots of experience in the industry, suspect they knew what to spec for glass that would give the most bang for the buck. Pretty happy with my 4-20x50 PRS, it does exactly what I wanted it to do for me. Like to see them put that PRS reticle in some more models.

I suspect you’re full of shit. If tract is Bushnell:Burris grade they’ll be bankrupt shortly without a name to ride.
Bad news @Darwin, Bushnell makes much of their high end scopes in the same place, although they have recently moved some of it to competitors in South Korea. Vortex, nightforce, and many others use LOW.

If you want to spec out a scope and buy a bunch under your own brand you can do it no problem. They even have a form you can fill out a la carte.
