Portable Ballistic Program

I was wondering if there was a ballistic program like the one on the website that comes in some kind of handheld unit. I want something that I can take in the field, log in the conditions....wind, temp, atmospheric pressure, and then your normal bullet weight,speed,and BC and get an accurate reading. I need to know what to buy and where to get it. Thanks alot Earl

I use the Horus Vision ATragMP-Tactical on a Palm TX. So far it is as good as the data you put in. For all it will do, it is reasonably easy to use.

If you do not need the Coriolis or Spin Drift,needed primarily over 1200 yards) or the BC Estimator features, You may prefer the Atrag2P-Competition. Lower cost and a little less input data required.

I use the exbal software from camp perry, I have no complaints.
the software will cost about $70.00 and you can use it on a cheap palm I think mine was about $90.00 at Best buy.

There's also the Nightforce program. You can use than on your PC or on a Palm device. I might get it one day, I don't have it now.

Price and effectiveness are tightly related. For normal hunting ranges,under 500 yards) on medium to large animals the program from Nightforce Optics,http://www.nightforceoptics.com/index.php) for either the Palm or Pocket PC platforms is about $70 from their dealers.

For long range,over 500 yards) the Horus Vision,http://www.horusvision.com/) Atrag2P-Competition,about $200 if I remember correctly) would be better. For very long range,over 1000 yards) then the ATragMP-Tactical,about $300) is the one to use.

A Palm TX is about $300 new.
