Polygonal rifling! Yay or nay?

I would like to know personal opinion from actual users of polygonal barrels.
It seemed that it was a rave 10 years or so.
Let me know your thoughts.
Your experiences.

Is it beneficial?.
I am in the search for a new barrel, and would like to try something different.

I understand Shilen's work very well on the competition RF stage. I have no personal experience myself.

If you are referring to something like the Shilen Ratchet rifling?
I used a Shilen 7.5R service rifle barrel from WOA and it was one of my favorites. Pulled it about a season ago.

Its in the back up SR Upper now and still going strong. It was still shooting at 600 for me but given round count was WAY over expected for a button barrel I finally pulled it from the primary.

Seen several rifle makers producing polygonal rifling barrels..
And many call them different.
I just have never seen or heard of any" (if) benefits over traditional cut rifling..

Accuracy benefits?
Some say" they give Longer shot strings (more shooting before cleaning).

I got my eye on a pac-nor,..
But before I jump 100% committed..
I want people's opinions.

I can not prove nor disprove they clean clean easier, just know it they shot for two of us if that helped

Using lead bullets can cause rapid lead build up and increased pressures.

Same here. BHW 20” 6.5 Grendel Barrel 3 groove polygonal barrel on an AR15. Accuracy is really good, better than the Howa 1500 Mini Action. The BHW 3P barrel is one of my favorite barrels. It is also faster than the Howa Mini Action too.

I have a pac-nor polygonal for my RFBR rifle. It was fitted and had a short run of testing because of the timing of the season. The barrel showed very good but needed more testing. We pulled it and I went back to a known barrel. It showed signs of a winner. The reason behind me trying it was the thought that the rifling pattern would be less effected by wind.

I also have a BHW 24” in a 243LBC AR 15 (BHWs 6 Grendel) and it shoots extremely well and is very easy to clean.
