Polygonal Rifled Barrels

Has any of these polygonal rifled barrels ever been used to do well in any benchrest discipline at any range?

I'm referring to those with rounded "hill" and "valley" shaped rifling, not angled lands with straight edges.

Yes I remember reading about Bob Shehane setting a record with a Obermyer 5R barrel. Not that I am anyone but I won a match pin at the 2010 600 yard IBS nationals in St Louis with a Shilen ratchet rifled barrel. I have also won a few things here and there at SE Ohio 600 with it, and been competitive with it.
Here is an article you may want to read.

Not according to Gary Schneider. He told me that when he made the first "canted land" button for McMillan he did not want to call it polygonal rifling but the boss insisted. Gary still makes his barrels known as 5P. The canted land rifling is not to be confused with the true Polygonal bore that H&K used for some time. There is mucho info on the internet concerning canted land rifling.
