Please Leave Feedback After Forum Transactions

Here's the part I dont understand about trader history feed back...

Any, and I mean ANY transaction between members is a means to build a friendship.
Every transaction warrants a phone call if for nothing other than to say hi, hey hows the weather over there.
If you think the classifieds are for merely buying and selling....
Well you missed out!!
Yes, I been a drinking, or painting suckin fumes.....
Or both!!

I ALWAYS leave feedback whether I'm buying or selling. I receive feedback about 75% of the time... I'm not sure why. I used to ask for feedback but I kinda got away from that. Maybe I should go back to it.

would also be nice if the status was updated on sold items??? not have to scroll down items to see they have sold. update the header to indicate sold to help us all out

I’m dealing with a gentleman who’s been a member for over a year and wrote to me to PLEASE leave feedback for him. He said he’s had several transactions and only one person gave him feedback! Do I NEED feedback from people with the time I’ve been a member and all the transactions I’ve had and the fact that I’m a supporting member of the Forum but I still want it to show future customers that I am trustworthy and I have earned your trust. This new member deserves feedback and my time to give it to him..... it’s one of the ways that future customers of his know what he’s like. Everyone should always take the time to give feedback and to read it before entering a transaction with someone before buying something

Another feedback issue that has not really been discussed: hesitance to leave neutral or negative feedback. I'm guilty as anyone of being afraid to leave negative feedback for fear of being percieved as combative or petty. But truly we are doing the rest of the members here a disservice by allowing less than honorable behavior to happen without any documentation. I've been wrestling with this issue for several months after a member here walked me down the path and then reneged on the deal after six weeks of excuses, assurances and (IMO) lies.

What say you folks?

I say I'm struggling with getting behind the wheel and parking the bus on a well known/respected stock maker's ass.
I've left messages, sent emails on a couple of his stocks.
Nothing but Crickets!!!!
I understand his pride, as I'm prideful too, guess that makes us both sinners.
At least I'm willing to respond to questions/messages with answers to the best of my ability.
We'll see how I feel about it when the project is completed.

Often I have to ask for feedback. Works sometimes.
If they don’t care enough to reciprocate the feedback I will not ask. That will be another to put on the remember list. I always leave feedback. Hopefully it will help some one. On other forums they don’t seem to care if you leave feedback or not.

I've always tried to leave feedback on the people that I have dealings with. Good or bad, it lets other's know how a person actually works when buying or selling goods online.
99% of the time, everything goes smooth, but that 1% can bite you in the butt!

I think it's on the buyer to start it. An agreement is made and the buyer gets the last part of the transaction once they receive item they should leave feedback then the seller should do the same. IMHO.
IMHO, it's on the seller.
Once payment has been received, it's the sellers duty to leave feedback for the buyer.

This makes sense
Thats how I see it.
If the seller won't leave feedback for me after I've completed my end of the deal, why should I leave it for him after he's completed his?
That's how the last thing I bought here worked out. I left feedback for the seller anyway but still waiting on mine.

When I sell something I leave feedback then, I don't wait until the product arrives to make sure they leave me good feedback, if they pay the way they should then they deserve the feedback, I always keep everyone informed about the product they purchased and when it shipped or if there is a delay, only courteous thing to do.

In close to 400 transactions of buying/ selling I have always left feedback for the transaction and have met several Forum friends who I still stay in contact with and ask for advice. Out of all of them I had one jerk and his feedback was a toast job. He never gave me feedback for which I couldn’t care less.
