Please help with 6.5 gap

So I’m at a loss with this load so the dies I was using were the 7 saum with a smaller bushing like in the pic I posted so I went ahead tonight and ordered the 6.5 gap dies so hopefully that will fix my problem.
I fried two shots today from brass I neck turned and on both I had pressure marks and on one I had a really hard bolt lift all from the load I have always used with no problems I don’t get it.

You never told us you were using dies that were not meant for the cartridge you are loading for. You do realize we have been trying to help you, and you leave out a very important piece of info.

WTH man!?

I posted a picture of the die I’m using and said my buddy has the same dies and the same cartridge as me and he loaded my ammo with his die with no problems and he told me to but that die and I smaller bushing so that’s what I did cause it’s working great for him.

.....he loaded my ammo with his die....

I'm trying to unpack this phrase and I'm not having much luck.

Are you saying he loaded using your components and his dies and you shot it? Did you give him fired brass and he took them through the whole loading process? Did you give him prepped and primed brass and he charged and seated bullets? Something else?

Please be more detailed about this "my buddy loaded my stuff using his dies" scenario.

Ok so I work in a different state than I live and don’t have a lot of time at home so my friend was doing the load development on this gun with my components and his dies. So with his loads the gun shoots 1/4-3/8” groups then I get home and get the gun and my stuff from him and I load some rounds and my dies are denting the bullets neck tent seems to be way to tight even though every thing is identical to his and my groups are almost 2” and I shot both loads so I know it’s not me it’s got to be the dies

In my opinion: You should be going to his place and watching him load. (Not because "he's a better loader" - but to see what he is doing differently than you.)

You say everything is identical. These are some possible things that come to my mind that could be introducing differences in results: Do you have the same press? Do you use the same lube? Do you use the same amount of lube? Do the die sets have the same level of cleanliness? Are you sure your sizing die is set up exactly as his? Do you run the brass into the dies at the same speed? This doesn't address the possible brass denting per se. But my point is just because the components and dies "are the same" doesn't mean there isn't a host of other possible reasons you're getting the results you are. How all the stuff gets used impacts results.

I had a cookie recipe I could not get to come out right. My niece "used the same recipe" and hers turned out wonderfully. We went back and forth and back and forth: Butter or margarine? Refrigerate the dough or not? On and on and on. We never figured out why hers worked. It got to the point where we acknowledged the only way to figure it out was for one of us to watch the other make cookies - but we never actually did it.

But the first thing I'd do is get the right dies. All of this seems like a complete exercise in futility until the right die set is being used.

P.S.: After typing the above I thought about doughnuts. Could your friend be using the expander button and you're not - or using an expander mandrel and you're not? Could that bullet be hitting a doughnut? I'm quite new in dealing with and understanding doughnuts - so I'm not mentioning this from a position of deep knowledge. But could it be one thing that would provide enough resistance to cause that big of a dent in the bullet?

Thank you for the advice. he has come over to my house and loaded with my equipment and he had the same issue but he has a different press than me but when he loads at my house it dents
When he loads at his house it does not.
Me and him both are totally confused as to why this is happening. The right dies are on the way so I will have them soon but won’t be able to load for awhile when they come cause I will be out of the state working.
