Ultrasonic did not get the brass as clean as I wanted, Hornady. Great for parts. I got all the matching Hornady stuff. So no excuses.
However, your comment has made me interested in combining SS and Ultrasonic. First a quick tumble in SS to loosen deposits. Then Ultrasonic. Rinse, dry, continue. Add to that, I want to slow down the SS tumbler. I am willing to try my router variable speed controller and sacrifice the SS tumbler if it blows up the timer or perhaps I should put the variable speed controller in like with the motor and not include the timer.
When I use case lube the cases are dry media tumbled after. I have walnut bedding. Proper walnut tumbling media. I haven't really tried corn cob. A buddy recommended it but I have not found what he suggested.
I have never had a pin stick in a primer pocket or flash hole. They will stick inside the cases when wet and fall out after drying. No problem just put them back in with the rest.
I bought some once fired, 6.5-284 tumbled in SS pins and found a pin stuck in the case and one stuck in a flash hole. That was enough to make me swear off the pins.
