PISTOL SCOPES/NEED ONE THAT IS SHORT IN LENGTH

Does anyone know who makes a decent pistol scope that is as short as 8 inches. ???????????

The 2 x 6 Bushnell is 10" But are a great scope, eye relief stays the same all the way thru the power changes. they are great scopes. I have one on a 35 Rem with a 14" Contender, holds up great.

Depends on what you are doing I guess, but for me more power is better and that means the Burris that goes up to 12X is a good choice. They are nice scopes, but if you are hunting with it you will find that any pistol scope is poor in very low light conditions.

Appears that the Leupold 6x42 FX-3 Riflescope is at 8" length per SWFA's website. I have a Burris 2x at 8.9" length on my Ruger New Model Super Blawkhawk with 7.5" barrel in 44 mag.

If your friend doesn't need magnification, then I would recommend either an UltraDot or an Aimpoint Micro dot. I have an UltraDot on both of my .22 LR bullseye pistols and really like them. With the front extension tube and the rubber "eye" cup, my UltraDot is 7 inches long. You don't have to use the extension or the rubber cup. Then the UltraDot is 5 inches long.
