Pillar hole size?

For you guys making your own bedding pillars. What diameter hole are you making in the pillar?

I do a 1/4 inch hole in the pillar so the bolt is a good fit when doing the bedding. Then when cleaning up the bedding I drill the hole out for some clearance.

It doesnt matter. I use a 3/8 in the rear so I dont cut into in with the trigger mortise. 1/2" up front. Plenty of room around them for epoxy to flow. As with most things clearance is good, binding is bad.

I assume you are referring to the o.d. of the pillars used. I was asking about the inside hole diameter. But thank you for the info, i will remember it for next time.
