Pierced Primer question working up a load

fella5 said:
Well compared to the primers I shot last Thursday, today seems like the primers were smoother when running your finger tips over them. I'm curious to see when I try loading up some 30.5gr of Varget for next week.
Scotty,
Just wondering how things turned out with your bolt? Have only sent a REM. Bolt to Greg. The work was great. fixed my Problem on my 270wsm. Was wondering how things came out on your Savage Bolt? (firing Pin)

Deadlyswift,

So far so good. Primers seem smoother where the pin makes contact with the primer. I just finished loading 100 rounds for tomorrows testing. I also have loads that are pretty high near max pressure according to QuickLoad. These loads initially made a crater in the primer prior to getting my bolt done by Greg. I will post my range report tomorrow hen I get back from the range.

Well just got back from the range and shot 98 rounds today. So far, the primers look fine with no cratering or piercing.

Here is my range report. All load were Lapua Brass, Varget, CCI BR4's, Berger 108, Seated to the lands.
