Picatinny rail instead of sling studs

Thinking of trying a Picatinny rail on my next hunting stock instead of studs. For those of you that have went this route do you like a 2” or 4” rail and why. Thanks

The longer rails usually have a flush cup mount or a stud replacement as such on the Seekins rail.

I moved from studs to the picatinny longer rail (more options for placement) but then I quickly graduated to a RRS/Arca full length dovetail rail, again for the placement options. With both the picatinny and the arca, the biggest advantage was the quick release lever clamp.

I went ahead and ordered a 4” rail to put on my stock. All find out what I think when ever I get the stock from McMillian. Thanks for the reply’s fellas
