MOA on Picatinny rail

I am in the process of putting together a bolt gun in 6BR and I am going to use an RPA flat top rear sight on a picatinny rail, but they list them in different MOA numbers. I plan to shoot this rifle primarily in 300, 500 & 600 yard prone matches so what would be the best highth of rail to look for?
Thanks, John

John,

I may be way off base but I think that since you're using iron sights the MOA that's built into the rail will not really benefit you because your line of sight is controlled by both the rear and front sights unlike a scope. Even if you were going to use a scope most should be able to get to 600 yards with out much difficulty. A rail with some angle built in would help keep your scopes vertical adjustment more centered but probably isn't required.

Thanks for the replies. I finally ordered a 15MOA rail. It was not all that expensive and I'll see how it works at 600. I can always change it. I am going to have several months to ponder it after my knee comes out in January.
