I made the longest shot of my life at the 2005 Winter Star Party in the Keys. Rosette Nebula, 5000 light years away, a bullseye! 15 minutes each in R, G & B (for each quadant). The image is a 4-part mosaic over 2 nights, stacked in Maxim DL and processed with Corel Draw by Dave Lane, with encouragement from me.

A trick I've learned -- sauté your mushrooms separately in wine, butter, and garlic, and then add them to the sauce just before serving. jd

Nice! I recall a lot of fun cruising the CA kelp beds too while free diving with a pole spear. Couldn't afford a Nikonos back then. Great shots!

It is difficult, for sure! They never seem to hold still. I do enjoy my fish, but I almost enjoy the plants more. Rare species of bucephalandra from Borneo are mainly what I'm after these days.

Do you still keep fish? If so, what?
