Photographers here -- What are you shooting at?

Those long, smooth, scalloped clouds on the left are Altocumulus lenticularis. (Mid-level cumulus clouds, lens-shaped.) They're commonly referred to by pilots as "wave clouds". They form ahead of a weather front on the lee side of big mountains, and indicate moisture and very high winds aloft. Their shape results from forming on the crests of standing waves in the air mass after passing over sharp mountains. Often they appear in layers like stacked dinner plates.
