No, I did'nt bother. Ronnie wants to replace it with oneThis sounds like another great project!
You have your lathe all setup for spinning up barrels now?
I’ll try and stay in the loop!
Great work!
Any update on the project? So you plan to use it for short range benchrest? After I shorten the die, I hone it slightly to bring back the base
dimension. Finish size on this case is .499. Short stepping
with a SAMMI reamer now gives me a good fitting chamber.
Danny Biggs was kind enough to sell me his short throated
reamer so I can move the time line up on this project. Barrel
though is still 2 months out on the order from Brux. The salvage
Bartlien I'll be using as a mule fire forming barrel is 2 weeks out
on the lathe schedule. Until I get the chamber reamed then a
casting, I can't do much more.

I have a similar project underway. I call it 6mm-284 Benchrest. Name doesn't ring for you, but we're chasing the same goal. It's a 284 Win shortened to benchrest proportions for 1k shooting. Goal is more speed with Dasher/BRX/BRA accuracy. The extra speed should help in the wind. Not your goal in shortrange obviously?Any update on the project?
Actually, an all purpose cartridge I am shooting an testing. Being a 7mm,I have a similar project underway. I call it 6mm-284 Benchrest. Name doesn't ring for you, but we're chasing the same goal.
