Peterson .308 SP brass length

Can anyone tell me the out of the box size of the Peterson .308 SP brass? I'm looking to form some new brass for my wildcat. I currently use Lapua but it ends up very short @ 1.995 once formed.

I just went through 50 of them. My twice fired and fully resized brass is measuring 2.001 - Peterson has great customer service. If you call or email them I'm sure they'd measure them for you.

Just measured 20 new pieces all were 2.005-2.005-5

I believe Peterson says their brass should not be used for forming, and have read many comments about it cracking and splitting during the forming process.

Thanks for doing that for me. I dropped them an email about week ago, just got impatient . I know the time of year doesn't help in their defence.

That's pretty much what the Lapua stuff comes in at. Thats a shame, i wish i could get SP brass with bigger COL out of the box

You read my mind. It means sacrificing the small primer though so it will mean a full new load work up with larger primers.

Of course. It's a 6.5 SLR with the taper blown out. A 6.5 SLR Improved if you will. Spits out 140grs at over 2900 with the same pressures as a factory 6.5x47. I also have node at 3000fps but settled on the lower one in this case
