I shoot with bullet just a few thousandths off lands. My overall length is 3.280 inch.
But my action is a single shot and barrel may be throated longer than yours.

Birdog, again thanks for the info. My gun is throated for the 168 SMK's but I'm going to have it throated for the 180 VLD's. Now all I have to do is find a deal on a ATACR. Seeing as how NF's headquarters are three miles from where I live, maybe there's hope...
