Even the gravel roads in Montana have rocks that will cut "P" tires. South Dakota just newer tires will get you down and back roads. Wet is a whole different matter. Imagine ND more like Montana, except the oil roads are likely well maintained.
Avoiding the rainy season and catching the pups emerging is the Catch 22 where we shoot.Where I shoot in MT, a June run can be rain problems (wettest month). July is dry as is Aug. Rain returns in Sept.
I Do the samething with my 6x6 but I put a umbrella on mine so I'm in the shade all the time.Heading out tomorrow morning on 2025 PD SAFARI....9 or 10 days of shooting.....524 miles to destination Dakota Country.
Different truck this year....900# 6x6 Polaris squats the 150 Ford pretty good. Quite a difference from my old 350 Ford Super Duty.
