Paypal scammers?

usps mo is not government money.. the usps has been semi indepentent for years. overseen by big brother...BUT NOT FUNDED BY BIG BROTHER.

keep your stub and they will refund you usps mo dollars..
i had one fly out my car window as i drove down the freeway...wait 30 days..so no scam on letting someone cash it while claiming lost. then they check and will return your money..
get a bank mo from your bank ,,typically the same process.
i quit doing internet sales ..partially due to payment issues. today i can take a cc but in the past, unless i knew you, you were an established business...certified funds only...

I have a totally different reason for using PayPal.

Sure, I like it because it is as safe as any payment form. But, complaining I am giving money to anti-gunners is absurd.
Those in the gun trade that don't like PayPal and insist on Postal Money Orders are forcing their customers to pay a REAL premium to the government! No one more anti-gun them those folks!
PLUS The money orders are not nearly as safe for the BUYER as they are to the SELLER. If that letter with your money order in it is lost, just try to get your money back!
I am sometimes really up set when some seller is adamant about NOT taking anything but Postal Money Orders. That guy is the ultimate of selfish. He has no concern of the customers convenience or safety!

WAKE UP...th eusps is not part of the us government..if they have a profit they keep iit it DOES NOT GO TO ANY PART OF THE US GOV...
been that way for YEARSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Pay-Pal is just as safe as any money order, and certainly as safe as a USPS Money Order. I sold some stuff on E-Bay and was paid with a USPS money order. It was counterfeit and my bank didn't find out about this until 6 weeks later. The Post Office was no help at all wouldn't even give me a place to start. So I will never take another money order from anywhere ever.

The USPS is also anti gun. They are a part of the Gov't and the gov't is the one trying to pass gun control, so that when you "BUY" a USPS money order you are supporting a group that is just as Anti Gun as Pay-Pal. There are no good choices here NONE, I am now taking Personal Checks only and waiting until they clear and I have the money in my hand before I ship anything. Even this isn't fool proof but right now I think it may be best. If there is a better way someone please share that...

I use usps only and have for years. I ship firearms ( rifles ) all the time and have never had a problem even when asked what it is. I would guess in the last 6 years i have shipped over 500 various gun related items and rifles with only 1 thing ever happening and that was an item shipped in a small yellow bubble wrap envelope that had a side ripped open and a empty bag delivered to a forum member. That was during Christmas season and i swear off shipping or selling anything that time of the year. They have been the cheepest by far for me to ship items.

Postal money orders are not a guarantee. I have had them held against MY funds until THEY cleared. Somewhat of a surprise to me but the bank said stolen PO money orders are not as rare as folks think. And if your the one depositing it, it's YOUR money that is tied up at least until the mess,if ever, is figured out.
Paypal? I know nothing about except what is written here.
Certified check? It absolutely can be stopped...it is not cash in hand'.
I have to repeat that possibly the best way to ensure payment is the other parties track record. That is certainly how money is loaned (at least recently) by lending institutions. Good payment record?.......chances are pretty good it will reflect a continuation of that.

Maybe not every seller is into automated funds or electronic transfer of funds? Just because they "prefer" to do business in a certain way does not make them selfish or inconsiderate! Furthermore, the buyer more than likely knows the preferred form of funds transfer so it's not like someone held a gun to their head and forced them to purchase an item with such terms stated up front? Also, it's not like they can't put insurance on the funds for penny's on the dollar?

Mike

I have had 3 persons with 1 post try and buy it,...

It's your item, you can make whatever rules you like.

And yes, for the record, I am usually leery of the guy that registers that same day, has one post (saying they'll buy an item), and nothing else.

HOWEVER.... I had a truck listed on another site a couple years ago. A guy registered solely to say "I'll take it". I was leery, but called him after sending him a PM for his number. He said that his cousin would meet me. :o I was REALLY sensing a bad situation, but agreed to meet his "cousin" in a very public place. Sure enough, the cousin showed up, cash in hand, followed me to the notary public, and the truck was signed over. I immediately notified the state that the truck was sold, that the plate was removed and invalid, and insurance cancelled.

I held my breath for a few days, but that was it. The truck was gone, the state never said anything else, and I deposited a stack of hundred dollar bills in the bank.

That deal had bad ju-ju written all over it, but it turned out that the guy really did want it, couldn't meet me, didn't want to lose the deal, and sent his cousin.

I guess you just never know....

Paypal is nice , within a day or so you can transfer the money to your bank real easy or spend it using paypal with the same funds
Have you sold anything on Flea-Bay recently? Paypal will hold your money until the buyer gives you positive feedback. No feedback means you will have to wait up to 3 weeks I believe. If you get some scammer on the other end that wants a better price, all they have to do is complain to Ebay and your money sets there until you make the pri_k happy. I hate paypal and ebay with a passion. As a seller you have all the risk and you're paying them for the pleasure of taking that risk.

Such varied opinions here.... Like it or not, EFT is the future and the future is now.

Use them to your advantage, learn about the options available to you and take advantage.

No system is fool proof. An objective post-mortem of most private sales scams reveals the harmed party failed in their due-diligence in some way. No electronic pay service will prevent that. Or cover the loss.

Caveat emptor et venditoris emptor.

I've never had any problems with Paypal and prefer it because it is quick and easy. I HATE postal money orders and other money orders. My bank doesn't cash them, the post office is a pain in the arse to go to....electronic all the way for me. I had one Ebay transaction where the seller shipped a broken product and then was unavailable . Paypal resolved the issue and refunded my cash. As mentioned, EFT is the way to go. I don't care if you use checks, but I won't ship anything until they clear.....adds about a 2 week delay.

Technically not but they are a mirror image. Later! Frank

Kinda amazing the people that zero in on one thing, taking it to the extreme and base their entire existence off it.

Opens the door for an organization to come in, claim to defend said thing and have free reign to do anything else because it's supporters can't see past the one ideal.

i find it very strange the supposed GUN PEOPLE will do business with and thru two ANTIGUN COMPANIES..paypal and ebay. why not just send money to obama ??

I do. It's called Income taxes.

All money printed in the US is created by private banks that charge interest on every dollar made, and they are the very interests that fund the private foundations that are behind the entire Satanic movement to enslave us all.

I still use dollars.

not quite true.
the us president authorizes the us printing office to print x number of federal reserve notes..typically every month.
the us printing office SELLS the printed MATERIAL to the FEDERAL RESERVE BANKS.
FEDERAL RESERVE BANKS are PRIVATE CORPORATIONS and not part of the us government.
( do not confuse the federal reserve BOARD with the federal reserve BANKS)
THE FEDERAL RESERVE BANKS issue the notes to member banks AT FACE VALUE plus INTEREST.
instant and continuing profit stream.
NO FEDERAL RESERVE BANK HAS BEEN AUDITED BY THE IRS, NOR HAS ONE EVER PAID A DIME IN INCOME TAX.
THE GOV DID REQUIRE AN AUDIT OF THIER PRACTICES LAST YEAR.......

kinda missed the satanic part somewhere in my education

The Federal Reserve "prints" money without ever actually "printing" money...

You are talking about the actual "hard" currency. Most dollars in circulation are not real hard actual dollars, they are just zeros and ones... Made up out of thin air.

We pay income taxes to the government. 98 percent of which functions for itself only. Given the choice, I would not pay any Federal Income taxes. That was my point.

Anyway. I use Ebay to make extra money. If you don't want too, please feel free to not use it. I certainly don't feel guilty that I use them. They are located in the Communist Sate of California and they make an effort to be lawful in that state. There are lots of gun parts on Ebay now... They really only have issues with semi auto parts.... Due to the Kailifornication laws.

Satanism/Communism/Feudalism/Illuminati/Corpratacracy/Monopoly Capitalism/New World Order/Evil

It has lots of names. All mean the same thing.

me thinks you are wrong agin...partially
what you are discussing is FRACTIONAL BANKING....
AND IT IS NOT THE FDEERAL RESRVE BANK..BUT ALL THE LOWER BANKS.

have you ever wondered why a bank would give you a toaster to $100 in thier bank ?
wy they would give you $50 for opening an account ??
interest rates just do not cover the cost ..so why ??

in the past government regulations required a bank to keep 3% of thier deposits onhand in cash.
this is where fractional banking comes from.
if a depositor put $10,000 in an account, the bank was required to maintain $300 on hand, and could invest or lend the remaining $9700. this worked well for years. banks were solid, the economy was solid.

and then a banker reverse engineered this rule. he decided if he had $300 in deposits, he could loan $9700. this is where city's comment comes from.....the banker never had the money to begin with..he created it from thin air, but now you know why a bank will give you 50 bucks for a $100. that 100 allows them to loan/create $3000 that simply does not exsist.
the rate is no longer 3%..i do not know the new rate, but unless it is 100% it does not matter. all the numbers used when discussing the us economy typically are based on money in circulation...and it is a joke. literally money in ciculation is only 3% of the MONEY in use...mainly as DEBT and then there is the interest paid for using money that does not exist.
most credit cards fall in the same game...giving you CREDIT to buy with little or no money .

and now back to shooting
