Pan for A&D FX120i

I just received an FX120i today and wouldn't you know, a $500. plus dollar scale with no pan! Or check weights. What pans are and check weights are you guys using and where are you getting them from? Thanks much

I use the Redding #99107, with my auto trickler, only because it is a little deeper, and contains any splash that might other wise end up on the pan.
You can grab them both on ebay, or about anywhere.

LOL....it's a lab scale, not a marketed as a reloading scale. Just use the one off your balance beam. Check weights can be found anywhere online.

I've used pill bottles for years--no splatter of granules when dispensing from a powder measure.

I use the ck weights supplied w/my Chargemaster. They are spot on.
I also use the Lyman funnel pan. It serves a two fold purpose.
I was concerned about the accuracy of the Chargemaster, so
I double ck it on the new scale, and found the CM to be very accurate

Fayette, believe it or not I'm too anal to spend so much gelt on state of the art equipment and use a cut off cottage cheese container!!! Nothing personal just big time OCD! : )

I bought a box of aluminum lab pans when I kept having some static issues with a plastic pan from another scale. Or I use the pan off the Lee scale I've had for years.

any pan will work....... just re zero to pan being used........ test weights are useful..... but get buddy with a good scale to make you one...... about/around... 50 gn.... the main thing this new scale will give you is +/- single kernal accuracy....

My pan off my Herters balance beam I received 64 years ago when I was 14 works well on the 120. Of course the 78 year old balance beam works just fine also.

Check weight is built in.

No pan, as it was not directly intended for reloading (it's meant more for measuring frogs and stuff; general scientific balance.)

It's the most stable electronic scale I've used (though that should read "the most stable of the 4 or 5 others I've tried".) Also the most repeatable.

i think my 120I came with a 100g weight. i use the pan off the hornady M that went in the trash.

I just ordered, got in, and used the ingenuity precision? powder cup. $22. Worked great. No powder bounce at all.

Tromener weights is what I have. I dont know if its worth buying a weight though. I dont use it much any lately.

Lots of ways to make a cup that'll just slide under the nozzle, short fat pill bottles, or shorten a tall one, spray paint tops. Something along those lines. Fashion a handle of some sort, coat hangar?

A 120i is used for checking check weights. Not the other way round. If you are worried, chuck a premium bullet on it.

I have the shot glass supplied with the Autotrickler - works 100% and doesn't get static.
