Mid-Range F-Class/Prone Match
September 7, 2013

34 shooters showed up and plenty of Gatorade was consumed during the day. Winds moved around all day from the right, the left.

On the Prone side we had 10 on the line and Rob Westfall took the win with a 595-36X. David Bay held off Bill Lackey to take the Master/Master Unclassified win with a 580-25X. Robert Bose edged out Dwayne Vidrine by 1 point to win the Expert/Marksman group with a 566-12X.

Open saw 11 and scores as always were close. In the High Master group, David Decareaux won with a 598-33X. Jim Suber took 1st in the High Master group with a 595-29X, edging out Gerald Boudreaux on the X count who took 2nd with a 595-27X.

FTR held some of the biggest surprises of the day with 2 Masters shooting High Master scores, a Master missing a High Master score by 1 point and an Expert missing a High Master score by 1 point. Marc Olivier took the win with a 592-31X, Craig Martin took 1st Master/Master Unclassified with a 588-22X and John Powell took the Expert/Sharpshooter group with a very impressive 587-18X.

The state match is next month and based on the scores folks have been posting up lately, we look for it to be a fight to the end.

Erik- The state match is in October, but was sold out by early August.

Regional will be in early April 2014.

I recognized it because I think your gunsmith had talked about it here or on another forum about a year ago as regarded you.

Hey Brian, good to see you here. Yeah, John and I took CJ's TR gun and ran it over with the truck to make sure he couldn't use that thing...... ;D.......All joking aside, i didn't even make the match, this thing called work gets in the way of matches some times....... :.......John went and shot well but Marc Olivier was on fire in TR and took no prisoners....... ;D.......Looking forward to the state match in a few weeks, its gonna be a barn burner, see ya there!
