Wow way to overthink it Denys. This would be a fun match at the local level. If people want to travel to the event then they know what they are getting into. We have a very large group of shooters at Ben Avery that shoot multiple times a week, and several of them have electric targets. The group at Ben Avery is a great group and we are always engaged in fun shenanigans. This would be just another event where there would be alot of friendly back and forth banter among the shooters and the electric targets add a spectator sense. Additionally you would have a double elimination bracket so everyone would know they at least get two tries. This match would take place during our regularly scheduled practices so shooters would still have the ability to practice off to the side.
As for the "bad relay" complaint, there wouldn't be one. You are only shooting against one person, and that is who you are pair firing with.
Shooting is supposed to be fun. That is why we do it, because you are not going to make any money at it. Over analysis of things really drags the fun level down. Besides if it is not fun we just wont do it again, but that probably wont happen because many of the shooters at Ben Avery already pair fire for fun against each other.
