P51 Mustang stock

As some of you may know, I’m having Bc’z paint a stock with a P51 Mustang theme. I would like to share a picture of how it is coming along. I can’t wait for the final product. He does amazing work and has a God given talent.

That particular stock was part of the initial conversation with Mark.
He has a fondness for old millitary aircraft, and forwarded me a picture of a Red Tail.
I still have red,yellow, olive drab yet to spray. This is what we're shooting for minus exhaust.

The P-51 is my favorite of all aircraft; love its design and the sound of its Merlin engine ever since I was a kid.

Glad you got an picture of an authentic Red Tail being a "C" model, as too often they are shown incorrectly as a "D" model.

Oh man that is definitely going to be my favorite one he's done yet. Two of my loves all wrapped up into one. WW2 Aircraft and things that go bang.

I actually got to sit in that very aircraft. It made a premature landing in Alton, IL for a hydraulic leak in the wheelwell. In the process of the mechanic fixing the leak, I made my way into the cockpit. Those planes were made for pretty small fellows. I would say 5'5" @165lbs. is what that airplane cockpit was designed for.

My dad flew a D, Army Air Corps and then Air Force. I was thinking about a tattoo, but a rifle stock maybe better.

The video did show that I got the fuselage numbers right.
