Outstanding bipod - what do you think?

It is a work of art, lots of milling, wheel to adjust the legs up/down, skids for legs, locks for cant, etc.... made in Calgary by a Master Machinist, he gets mad if you call him a riflesmith :)

I assume from the second pic, he's using it for F-class?

It would be enough to give the guy next to him with the little whimpy Gehmann bipod, actually just used as a rest when not shooting) a complex.

It's two separate Fclass rigs if you look close, one completely homemade, Action, bolt, stock, trigger, rings, not sure who's barrel he uses, made by the maker of the bipod, this same guy makes the short pods that holds a lot of fullbore rifle off the ground in Canada, similar to the Gehmann but in aluminum, his stuff bears the initial HR on them, the other rifle is a Stolle Kodiak in single shoot in 6BR, the match winner that day only dropping 1 V bull for the day.

Caduceus, the guy's rifle next to the Fclass rig in the 2nd pic belongs to a member of the Canadian team, Carl Ganter, and he would not have a complex. Carl's a pretty good shooter, as is the Fclass shooter.

Kodiak,

All said in jest - no disrespect intended. I have the utmost respct for guys that shoot well over such distances. Thanks for sharing the pics.

That would be way over kill on my Prairie dog rifle! Looks like a great piece of work.

Mike

It would take alot of the guess work out of the bipod's stability when shooting at range! It might be worth it if you care to add the weight!

I know HR was selling the few he had made for $400 Cdn at the APRA match back end of April and at that, he was not making any money, so he said he was not going to make anymore. It weights around 3.5 lbs I think, maybe 4 lbs. Sure beats anything I've seen on the market or the line for quality and ease of use.

Wow... that's not too bad really!
