Absolutely. Without understand it all, it's difficult to put it all together.
We need to keep in mind that our founding fathers had just gone through a tyrannical Government that wasn't even from America!
There's a good reason the 2A is written the way it is. I can't thank them enough for that. At the same time I can't despise the left/anti-gun/woke trying to take all the firearms away. It's pretty bold for anyone to think they'll take my arms away...I'll die defending my family.
So, this is interesting, IMO, because he sure took some $#!T from the truckers. I know several people from Canada, not all of them are fond of hunting. One of them moved to America and now sucks up our SS and advocates gun control. This is wrong.

Gun laws don't work in stopping and preventing gun related crimes!! If you want to stop mass shooting, invoke public viewed executions!! If you kill with a gun, you die by a gun!!! If you want to stop gun homicides, invoke victim viewed execution by firing squad! Unfortunately, laws on gun related suicides are classified as homicides!! Robbery crimes committed with guns, double the prison time!! Other crimes involving gun need a double prison term!!
In my days, we drove to school with guns in the trunk, back seat, and hanging on the gun racks in pickups!!! If a fight broke out, nobody went for their guns!! If a blade appeared, the knife holder was called a pussy!!! The only school shooting at that time was the bell tower shooting in Texas where a vet went went on a shooting spree!!! Some vets think they are back in the battle at the strangest time in their life!!!
Gang related shootings should be an automatic public viewed execution regardless if the victim(s) live or die!!!

Of course they don't, most of us here know that, it's just not a part of the gun control nut jobs agenda.
If it was so easy and all cases were the same, I would agree that if you kill with a gun, you die by a gun...however, innocent people could be convicted of crimes they either hadn't done, or unfair justice against them.
One thing that would help is if they actually started to prosecute criminals rather than letting them out of prison. Where did that idea come from, shoot that guy in the back of the head at point blank.
For me the question still remains..."when do I get my constitutional rights?".
When does the Government stop crapping around and obey the constitution? If they want to let people out of prison, how about letting some of the Hell's Angels out? How about some of the other gang members in prison? Or make them serve in the military, that's another option that really hasn't been explored.
I'm ok with the death sentence though, which is what you basically propose with school shootings...but let's enforce it. We don't charge these people or even kill them on death row, "we the people" end up taking care of the tab through taxes.
I'm pretty much in agreement with you Wild Bill, as most on these forums are. Our states and feds don't understand how to combat it. We will never get it fixed at the rate we're going...we'll only make it worse.

I remember seeing a photograph when I was a kid of I believe, the last public hanging in my county. It occurred on the property where the photograph was displayed, on the lawn of the house I was standing in. Dead bodies still hanging, the public milling about. To me it was an interesting photograph. Did it act as a deterrent seeing evidence of a public execution. Not really, whatever the executed ones had done, I already knew enough not to go down that road.
In today’s age, I don’t think public execution would be a deterrent. Too many movies and games showing death and destruction. Too many minds broken by social media. Too many raised with broken character and ethics. Too many killings around the planet on the nightly news. Even if someone created an AI version of an execution, many wouldn’t be affected by it. It would just be another show.
Even today, carrying out a death sentence is a media event, used to sell ad space or promote an agenda. Execution should be carried out the day of sentence in my opinion.

We have become a society of compromise, acceptance and entitlement.

The students aren't passing school, ok, lets lower the standard so they can pass instead of fixing the teaching process (not that I am blaming the teachers).
We hardly ever stop people for traffic violations any more! A stop sign means STOP! A YIELD sign means to slow down and proceed when it is clear. People don't follow the laws and when an accident happens at a stop sign, "oh, that must be a dangerous intersection, we need to put in a traffic light there!" No, there has been a stop sign there for a hundred years. Why is it now a dangerous intersection? No, it's dangerous drivers, and no safety equipment will help with that!
Everyone gets a trophy! So why try harder to do better next time? Why is poor or mediocre good enough now? I am 55 years old and still work every day to improve myself!
That's bad, you get a time out! Time out is fine if there is an actual punishment, not, "sit there for 30 seconds and say you are sorry".

What my father did to me for punishment as a child would be considered child abuse today, but I have never been arrested or broken a major law. Hell, I have not even been pulled over in almost 30 years and there is NO ONE on this planet that I respected more than dad!
He taught me right from wrong and that when I do right, I prosper. When I do something wrong, there is a consequence to my actions.

That's called buying votes, plain and simple. Like offering first time homeowners 25K for a home purchase. Like this country can afford that sales pitch. Exactly, people are quick to blame whomever is the current administration for all their issues but congress is the one they should be directing it towards. In the end most peoples issues are really of their own making in one way or another, but of course many would rather blame others than look inward.
Plan for reality of life, prepare for disaster, vote, and generally take care of your own house. Do this and things usually work out just fine.

I said this before in this thread and I'll say it again a good portion of the people on this forum are going to vote for Kamala because they believe that their part of the population that won't be affected by what they do. Because "their not one of those people" "those people need to have those laws imposed upon them, because you know? their those people. EVERYONE forgets IT just wasn't 6 million JEWS, Hitler and his regime killed 75 million people!
I completely agree, and in fact, many Jews forget about the Holocaust. My father was the only Jew in my immediate family who believed in the 2nd Amendment. My mom, who is gone now, was very anti-gun as are both of my sisters, but one of them foams at the mouth when the G word is mentioned. I can't see how any Jew would accept being disarmed.
In fact, this is the very reason 1200 Jews were taken hostage and many more hurt and killed, Israel made a huge mistake by implementing gun control.Bruen means nothing to people that advocate gun controls. Our constitution means nothing to them. And that goes for most of our rights, most of our rights are under attack, including our free speech. This only proves that the 2nd Amendment is not about religion, it was intended to leave religion out. Maybe that is why it's the 2nd Amendment? Religion is covered in the 1st Amendment...
