I reload mostly for 308 and some 7-30 Waters in my Contender. I have a Wilson setup with the case trimmer and long taper ID tools. I can tell it's very precise, but I don't like having to set it up once for trim, then go through it all over again for ID. I also do not at all like having to bang the case mouth to get it out of the caseholder each time. The Giraud is a great sounding piece of equipment, but I just don't shoot enough to justify the $$.
Do any of you have experience with the Lee trimmer with Zip trim and 3 jaw collet or with the Possum Hollow trimmer? Both seem like much higher speed setups, I just don't know about issues with them. With a search I saw a custom setup that one member made with the Lee pilot, but I don't know if I'm up to building something myself, not my forte').
I know a lot of people don't like Lee products, but I think a few of their products are surprisingly good, drum powder measure, Factory Crimp die for handguns) and don't want to overlook another one.
I'm afraid it's Wilson or Giraud with no good options in between, but I thought I'd ask.
Thanks,
JB
