Well I ordered a 20 caliber 11 twist from Hart today. 14 weeks out. Having them send it to Bibs Machine in Greeley Co to set me up with a 20 cal for my #7 superior. Mo' Better will be Mo Betterer, a switch barrel!
I had ordered 500 20 VT brass from @High Plains Brass , but the sale never went thru, they are not responding to my email inquiring.
So, if it goes thru later, I will have Loren Lieder chamber it in 20 VT. If not, I have about 300 222 Lapua brass so i will find a loaner reamer and have it done in 20-222. I have time to decide. Loren did the barrel that is on it and assures me he doesn't need the rifle to put together another for me.
Since I bought 5000 bullets, I guess I NEED a barrel, right?
Since I survived Covid-19, time to celebrate a little. After this project I think its on to a little 17HM@ and maybe a 686 Smith.
That should conclude the need for rifles, lest the Redline bites.
Time to move on and finally finish the 67 Firebird that has been in my garage since 1986....
I'm thinking pure Poncho 400 CID power at about 500 HP, pump gas, , EFI, a five speed, discs and fat n skinnys...in Plum Mist, with parchment deluxe interior, original console and folding rear seat, thank you please. Loud enough to be be anti-social, fast enough to scare an old man, old enough to run off millenials, fun enough to ram around in and not be a trailer queen, reliable enough that it wont piss me off.
I thought about return to original, OHC Sprint 6, even have the engine and drive train. But it just isn't...enough....
